Honey is my second breeding queen and my first US import. I had been looking for a female to import for a while when I found Honey. Originally I was interested in her daughter, but she had only one female kitten and the breeder decided to keep her at home. And for me importing a male wasn’t current (I had only one breeding female at that time).. After lots of emails and long negotiations about other options, we came to the conclusion that it’s Honey herself who’s coming to me instead. She came in the middle of the night after travelling almost two days and she immediately adopted in our home.
What a ham she is! Huge, well-set ears, long tail, extremely slender body type and beautiful almond-shaped green eyes. Honey has very outgoing temperament. Sometimes Honey is overfriendly and strangers don’t necessarily appreciate that behaviour – Honey literally goes into the mouth. She’s the most curious cat I’ve ever met, but sometimes she’s a bit impatient. Honey is a true queen of the cattery; she demands a lot ot of attention and is also quite jealous about it. She loves to rub herself against Timo’s beard. And her favourite place to drink is the kitchen tab. Honey loves kittens, whether her own or somebody else’s… She tries to steel them all and while pregnant she even decided to feed Darla’s babies – with luck! What more a breeder could ask? Well, in Honey’s case definitely more coat and maybe just a little bit straighter profile.
Honey's own coat hasn't been in show condition after kittens, but now, at the mature age of 5 years, she has decided to grow nice curls and I hope I can show her later in neuter and veteran classes. She used to love it so much - hope she still likes it! Her kittens have beautiful coats and some of them have and will be shown occasionally, 3 of them have been Best in Show at least once.
Honey had two Alchemist litters and is now spayed due to her heart problem (even we don't know if it's inheritable or not, but just in case). She makes beautiful babies and she has proven to be an excellent mother! Thank you Lisa for letting me have this dear!
